There are significant changes to the Starfinder Society worldwide campaign which are reflected in this Guide as of version 2.00. They are summarized below:
| Effective Date | Rule Change | Notes |
| 30 July 2026 | Slow track character advancement is allowed. | Characters earn half the normal rewards for adventures. This aligns with Pathfinder Society (Second Edition), which has had the rule since launch. |
| Credit earned by playing a pregenerated character can be applied to a new player character that begins play at the pregen’s level. | This rule is a new addition to how pregen credit can be assigned. It is also a new rule in PFS2 play, and in both campaigns it follows from allowing new characters to begin play at higher levels. | |
| Coming soon | Adventures published on Starfinder Infinite are playable for Starfinder Society credit (subject to certain criteria). |
