Welcome to the Guide to Organized Play: Starfinder Society!

The Guide is the home for campaign rules specific to the Starfinder Society (SFS) organized play campaign. The Guide is available in the form of this website or as a single page. To print or get a PDF of the Guide, follow the link.

Both active Guides have the same structure following the reorganization of the Pathfinder Society Guide. The Guides each have the following sections:

• Core Guide: the rules everyone needs for PFS Organized Play
• Player Options and Tools: additional rules players can choose to use
• GM Options and Tools: additional rules GMs can choose to use
• Supplemental Materials: reference materials, including lists of current and retired Boons

Organized Play Onboarding Tools & Resources

Welcome, adventurer! Whether you're a brand-new player, a curious GM-in-the-making, or someone trying to decipher the Venture-Officer hierarchy, you’ve found the right page.

This site hosts tools and resources created by the Onboarding Committee—a group of passionate volunteer Venture-Officers who support Paizo’s Organized Play programs (Pathfinder Society and Starfinder Society) in our spare time. Everything here is built as a labor of love to help you start your journey with confidence.

We know that diving into Organized Play can feel a bit like being dropped into a dungeon with no torch and too many acronyms. Our goal is to light the way.

What We Do

The Onboarding Committee develops tools and resources to make joining Organized Play easier, clearer, and more consistent for everyone. Our mission includes:

• Helping new players get started with their first characters and sessions
• Supporting new Game Masters as they prepare to run their first tables
• Guiding new Venture-Officers as they step into leadership roles
• Assisting in the successful launch and onboarding of new lodges
• Creating and maintaining step-by-step guides, checklists, and documentation
• Testing tools, collecting feedback, and updating content as Organized Play evolves

Everything we build is designed to be repeatable across regions and adaptable to both in-person and online play.
